Cyanobacteriocide for Lakes & Ponds
Blue-green algae, more correctly known as cyanobacteria, are frequently found in freshwater systems. Cyanobacterial blooms or Harmful Algae Blooms (HABs) can produce highly potent toxins, known as cyanotoxins. The most found cyanotoxins in the U.S. are microcystins, cylindrospermopsin, anatoxins and saxitoxins. These toxins that can kill fish, mammals, and birds, and may cause human illness or even death in extreme cases. Cyanobacteriocides are products designed to quickly eliminate harmful algae blooms. Cyanobacteriocides come in liquid and granular forms  The most effective management strategy is to be proactive and treat early and often with algaecide or combination algaecide / cyanobacteriocide products.
